Wildlife estates usually have architectural or aesthetic rules, and some control when contractors can be on site. We ask you to check what applies to your stand before we arrive — dish size, colour, placement or screening — and we plan the installation to fit those rules rather than asking for forgiveness afterwards.

In practice that often means a lower mount, a position behind a parapet or on a side wall that faces the right way, and cable that runs inside or behind existing lines of the building rather than across a face wall.

Where monkeys and baboons are about, anything loose becomes something to pull on. We fix cable firmly, avoid slack loops, and protect runs in conduit where they are within easy reach. Connectors outdoors are sealed against moisture, and we avoid leaving cable exposed on hot surfaces where it can deteriorate faster.

Summer storms are part of life in the Lowveld. We make sure the dish and mast are properly secured and explain what to switch off when a storm is close, which is the simplest protection for the decoder.

If your house on the estate is let out or only used some of the year, a clear, simple setup matters more than features. We can label the decoder and remote, set the favourite channels, and show whoever looks after the house how to do a basic restart so a guest is not left without TV over a weekend.
